AN EXAMPLE OF PHYGITALIZATION

Let’s say you are selling aquariums. This is a good example because these products are bulky, difficult to handle and their turnover is rather slow. These are slow movers that are typically difficult to make profitable in stores in the face of the pure player model. You have opted for the partial phygitalization of this ray. You have identified 5 basic models that you are going to exhibit. You have also identified 364 other models that you are going to market through an interactive screen in order to cover all the needs of your potential customers (angled aquariums, integrated filtration, column aquariums, etc.). To make the full depth of your range visible, you have chosen to display part of it using a phygitalized display panel with pusheeze buttons. These buttons are like “bookmarks”. When the customer clicks a button, the interactive screen will navigate to the relevant aquarium.
Do the maths :
If you sell an aquarium for 600 €  – price excluding tax – and your margin is 30%, you earn 180 € – price excluding tax –  of almost net margin on each sale.
